3 year old Carmina's first recital on stage with Ballet Etudes

Carmi's Story

As a little one, Carmiña’s head swirled with the melodies of The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins. With a song in her heart, she was known to give her tias (aunts) a phone call to perform her rendition of “Sing Sweet Nightingale” by her favorite princess, Cinderella.

Vibrant and graceful, she began ballet training at 3 years old with Ballet Etudes, and her love for the stage blossomed. She continued ballet into her teenage years during which she discovered her favorite love of all, live musical theatre.

She vividly remembers watching Sierra Boggess in the pro-shot of The Phantom of the Opera and thinking, “That’s who I want to be.” Since then, Carmiña has performed consistently in both ensemble and principal roles at The Phoenix Theatre Company and Hale Centre Theatre.
